Justfound this post and need some advice regarding a similar issue. My oil light came on in my 2014 2.2d and oil and filter change was done. Garage told me to drive like a diesel because of the DPF as said fuel in the oil. Anyway 2 week later and day after giving it a good run with revs around 3k the dreaded oil light was back on.

Besure the vehicle is on a level surface. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature. Turn it off and wait at least 5 minutes for the oil to return to the sump. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, and reinsert it fully. When inspecting the engine oil level, pull out the dipstick straight without twisting.

Onmy 3rd Mazda 6. Owned an 09 for a few years and loved it. Never had an issue, traded it for an SUV for the wife. 3 years back I wrecked a damn near brand new car (not my fault :) ) and ended up getting into a 14 Mazda 6, had that for 2 years and now I have a 16 Mazda 6. All have been great cars.
